Note: The 35th FBS pilot has his orders to go home. Whenever a pilot received his orders to go home or given an assignment elsewhere, it was called FIGMO (Forget you, I've Got My Orders). The four F-80 pilots pictured here from the 36th FBS were soon FIGMO themselves. Right before Lt. Brady's orders came through for him to go home, he received a small black puppy from a litter that a sergeant had acquired. This sergeant was going FIGMO and wanted to get rid of all his puppies, so Lt. Brady picked out the runt of the litter and decided to name him Figmo. He became the unofficial mascot for the 36th FBS. You can read about Figmo on the Pilot Stories page.
